Japan Agility hit by Tsunami

Organized by Trish Whitley

Donations
Have to say that Agility people are the BEST! The amount of donations coming in from so many of you, in such a short time is truly heartwarming!!

I wanted to be sure people realize that the donations are not tax deductible. Unfortunately, 501 c3 tax exemption status takes some time to put together and be approved, there just wasn't that kind of time.

Thank you again for your generosity! You'll all be the first to know when money is sent to the proper person in Japan.
Funds rolling in!
Thank you to all of you that have contributed to this fund so far! Please feel free to share the link or maybe even put the widget on your website or blog (there is a link to do so under the box to the right).

Tom Kula is in contact with the Director of Agility in Japan and is working to ensure that the funds get to them for distribution to the Agility community there.

We're going to provide the funds to the Director so that they may distribute to those most in need of it at this time in their agility community. It may go for daily survival needs, dog food, shelter etc and they may also use it for agility equipment to rebuild when the time is right.

Thank you again for your amazing support for this effort!

Japan Agility hit by Tsunami
If you haven't yet seen the photo of the Agility field about to be wiped out by the Tsunami it is posted here.

This image has really hit home for many of us that compete in this sport. The goal of this ChipIn is to raise money for the Agility community in that area of Japan so that they may purchase new Agility equipment, when the time is right for them to do that.

If everyone that loves this sport could chip in at least $10 (or whatever you can afford) we'd raise plenty of money to assist our fellow competitors. That is less than one trial entry!

Please consider a donation to help.

NOTE:
The site chipin uses Paypal to collect the funds. Paypal charges a small fee for each payment sent:
The fee in the U.S. is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you send. For example, if you send $100.00 USD by credit card, the fee would be $3.20 USD ($2.90 + $0.30).

Additionally There is a fee when you send a payment to someone in another country or if you receive a payment from someone in another country. Please note that exchange rate fees also apply if there is a currency conversion.

This is for the convenience of using this online application. Providing your donation is indicative that you agree with this fee.

Currently my account is being used for the donations (which started with a zero balance), all donations are being carefully tracked and logged (available upon request).

The amounts donated (minus paypal fee) will be sent to the designated Japan contact for the purposes indicated. At this time we are still identifying that proper contact (its a bit hard right now as you can imagine).

Thanks!
